The Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) program helps manufacturers who build and market products used in the post production and delivery of Netflix Original productions. The program ensures tools comply with Netflix specifications and industry standards.
This program is designed specifically for technology partners, including software and hardware developers of tools which are used in the post production and delivery of Netflix Original productions.
The Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) program is intended to drive efficiency and innovation across the entire process, from tool development, through their use in the post production process, and for content delivery to Netflix. Participants have access to Netflix’s evolving roadmap and engineering resources so they can develop tools which have the latest features ready when needed. Our post production partners benefit from knowing the tools they use have been validated and certified by Netflix to meet our exacting specifications, and from having access to enhanced documentation, training, and support.
Manufacturers must accept the Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) program license agreement, along with extensive testing of their products to ensure they meet Netflix’s specifications. Entry into the program will be driven by demand within our ecosystem. Not all products qualify for participation in the program. We evaluate each product on an individual basis. If you have questions, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
We publish our specifications and workflow guides on the Netflix Partner Help Center website. Here is the link.
Participation in the Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) is free. However, you may be asked to pay a share of the costs for certain events in which you participate.
No, Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) status is granted only to qualified products which have been tested by Netflix and are validated to meet our specifications and all of the requirements of our program.
The Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) logo should only be displayed in association with qualified products. For example, it may be displayed on a web page for a product which has earned PTA status, or on collaterals used to market the product. Do not use the logo to imply a partnership with your brand. Logo use guidelines can be found here.
You may not use the Netflix logo on your website to promote your participation in the Netflix Post Technology Alliance program. We have designed a special program logo which combines the Netflix N symbol with program name. The program logo can be used on your product page. We will provide access to the program logo when you are on-boarded into the program.
The testing process will vary based on the workflow category your product supports. You will be fully briefed about the process during the application and onboarding process. Whenever possible, we endeavor to utilize automated tools to facilitate self testing. Our goal is for a speedy process which does not unnecessarily delay acceptance of your product into the program.
Netflix Post Technology Alliance (PTA) program participants will be expected to attend an annual technology and roadmap briefing event which is held around the IBC conference in Amsterdam during September. We will also provide quarterly updates via email. Urgent roadmap updates or specification changes will be communicated as soon as information is available to ensure program participants have adequate notice to plan accordingly.
Netflix Post Technology Alliance program participants may submit a support request via the the Netflix Partner Help Center.
